Paintings
Suzanne mainly works with oil on canvas. In her studio she makes extensive sketches based on visual information from her travels. Once she has a final design, she covers the canvas in a random patchwork of bright colours. She then applies layers of paint until the images and structure gradually emerge.
Although the idea for a painting is likely to originate from a particular place, the final work is an amalgam of many influences, and rarely specific to the original location.
