meadow gardens
This commission was to make a landmark for Oxford, which was to be viewed from the busy ring road. The work hangs in 19 separate pieces, on the side of a new residential building. The work is based on the city’s unique natural landscape of the waterways, rivers, meadows, local parks and gardens. The chosen plants connect together, flowing and twisting on the wall, following lines reminiscent of the complex waterways on a map of Oxford, with a snail at the base holding the artwork together.
