Bryan House
Suzanne was commissioned to make three artworks, to be inserted into black metal railings, at a new eco housing scheme in the centre of Bicester. This town centre site had the unusual feature of a stream running past the new houses. The railings throughout the site were positioned near the stream, so her sculpture inserts needed to be visually strong and sympathetic to the site, and also intricate enough to work as a safety fence. With this in mind she chose strong colours for the three inserts, and imagery that reflected the natural environment; fishes, lilies, and a bird, with a sun and clouds.
