Suzanne has been greatly influenced by her travels, and the art and culture of the countries she has visited. Her paintings, which continue to evolve, are bright in colour, and are found in, for example, hospitals, company board rooms and entrance foyers. She paints mainly in oil, on canvas or wood, and her works range from large scale to tiny miniatures. 
 

These paintings, based on extensive sketches, begin with a random patchwork of colour from which the images gradually emerge as she applies layers of paint. Although the idea for a painting is likely to originate from a particular place, the final work is an amalgam of many influences, and rarely specific to the original location.
