ABOUT
Suzanne O’Driscoll studied Painting in London at the Central School of Art and Design and as a postgraduate at the Slade School of Fine Art, London.
Researching, collecting, and piecing together visual imagery is part of her process. Her work is influenced by natural or by urban environments, and her varied travels have given her a wide range of source material. Her interest in strong colour began in her early work with travel to South America, and has continued to be an important part of her painting.
In mid-career, she began working in metal using her drawings to inspire many large-scale sculptures, in diverse locations. Gaining a reputation in this area, these works still follow Suzanne’s artistic preparation, and connect strongly with her interest in structure, form and composition.
